Foshan is a very ancient city with a lot of history.
It lies in the heart of the Pearl River Delta. Its neighboring places include: Hong Kong and Macau, and borders onto Guangzhou, Jiangmen, Zhongshan, Zhaoqing and Qingyuan.
It is in a favorable geographical position and has a well developed transport system. the average climate is around 22 degrees celcius with a mild climate, so is a suitable place for travelers all year round.
Foshan is divided into 4 districts: Chancheng, Nanhai, Shunde and Gaoming. The total area is 3.814 square kilometers and has a population of around 3.4425 million. It has been honoured as state Historical & Cultural City and Top Tourist City in China.
Foshan has a long history. It is recorded that it got ist name in the second year of Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (AD 628), three figures of Buddha were excavated on a hillock named Tapogang. So the local people erected a stone stele engraved "Foshan" literally meaning Hill of Buddha.
Foshan is the showcase of the Lingnan culture, the cr
adle of the Cantonese opera and home the Chinese art, delicacies and KUNG FU!

Foshan Ancestral Temple. - Located in the Chancheng district.
See the traditional Chinese Lion dance, the Wing Chun museum, the Wong Fei Hung museum, and incredible martial arts and acrobatic displays.
The Museum is a must see for all martial art followers!
Zaomu Mountain. - Located in the Gaoming 
district. With a peak of 805 metres and agorgeous scenic area.
Bruce Lee former residence - located in the Shunde district.
Qinhui gardens - Located in the Shunde District.
